Katie Price shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day message to her mum on Instagram, following reports that she had upset her family after tying the knot with her new husband Lee Andrews, after only knowing each other a week.

The former glamour model, 47, married Lee in a quick-fire Dubai wedding in January, however her friends and family have been struggling to share her joy and join in with the celebrations, including her terminally ill mum Amy Price.

Following Katie’s sister Sophie revealing that Katie had ‘traumatised’ the family, Katie took to Instagram for Mothers Day where she shared a video montage with her mum, who has recently been in hospital. Katie’s mum Amy had a lung transplant for terminal idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2022. Since the operation, her mobility has decreased and she has “up and down days”.

Katie captioned the video: “Mum I adore you, you mean so much to me id be LOST without you. There’s no words to describe how much I love you.” She added: “Keep strong, keep fighting HAPPY MOTHERS DAY”.

A source told the Metro shortly after Katie’s wedding: “Katie’s family have been left in the dark about the marriage and can’t understand how it’s unfolded so quickly.”

A source also told The Mirror: “Everything Katie is doing is just putting more of a distance between herself and her family.”

It comes as Katie’s sister Sophie shared her feelings on the wedding on their first episode of the podcast since Katie’s wedding. She said: “You, this year, have been a pain in the f**king a**e. It’s not funny. Mum has been horrendous – is she talking to you yet?”

“Course she is,” Katie insisted. “I went and saw her in the hospital.” Sophie then replied: “Aww I know, Mum’s back in the hospital – she’s not good.” The pair then revealed Amy is currently in hospital being treated for an infection.

“Yeah,” Katie said. “And I gave her a big hug and she cried like that…” Katie then went on to do an impression of her mum crying. Sophie then said: “You’ve traumatised us all – again.” Katie replied: “Oh I traumatise f**king everyone but listen…” Sophie interjected: “Well it’s not good.”

Katie then continued to recall visiting her mum in hospital as she said: “I gave her a big cuddle, I’m like, ‘Come here Mum, you need a daughter hug. I love you’, and she was crying…”

Sophie said: “Hmmm, she called me after and I was like, ‘How was it?’ And she was like, ‘It was nice to see her’. I said, ‘Did you give her a b****king?’ She went, ‘I did’, I said, ‘Did you cry?’ She went: ‘Yeah’.”
