Besotted Katie Price shrugged off government warnings as she jetted back to Dubai last week to reunite with new husband Lee Andrews – leaving her loved ones “sick” with worry.
The former glamour model, 47, was spotted at Gatwick Airport looking excited ahead of her flight to the UAE, despite official advice warning against all but essential travel to the trouble-hit region. The star was determined to be at hubby Lee’s side following a brief return to the UK, leaving her family deeply concerned.
Their greatest fear, we’re told, is that Katie might now end up trapped in Dubai if the war in Iran escalates – leaving the mum-of-five stranded thousands of miles away from her children.

“Katie has been warned about going to Dubai because of what is happening out there,” says our source. “She was boasting about her plane being empty, but that was because most people won’t take the risk right now.”
Posting a photo of herself in the deserted cabin, Katie wrote, “How unreal is this! This whole cabin to myself. Crazy! Dubai here we come! #KatiePrice #comingformyhubby #excited.”
For Katie’s loved ones, there is also the worry she is still in deep denial over 42-year-old Lee’s true identity. Despite countless warnings that the self-proclaimed millionaire is not who he claims to be, smitten Katie is seemingly refusing to acknowledge the many red flags raised since they tied the knot in January, less than two weeks after meeting.
“Her family fear she isn’t thinking straight as she is obsessed with Lee and is putting herself in danger,” says our source. “They are worried she may get stuck out in Dubai and not be able to get back for her children. It is causing a lot of stress and anxiety and everyone is just absolutely worried sick about her.

Katie recently appeared on Good Morning Britain, where she shot down claims that Lee is a conman(Image: ITV)
“They don’t trust this guy. They’ve looked at his track record, they’ve looked at his past… but she’s not listening.” According to reports, Katie’s nearest and dearest tried their best to get her to see sense while she was back on home turf – but she is adamant that Lee’s intentions are honourable.
Last week, the mum-of-five hit back at claims she rushed into the marriage – her fourth – during an appearance on Good Morning Britain. “Do you ever really know anyone?” she said, after host Susanna Reid asked why she hadn’t waited longer to get to know Lee. “If you look at my past marriages, did I ever know they would be what they would be? Sometimes I don’t think you can ever know who anyone is.”
Asked by co-host Ed Balls to verify Lee’s claim that he has a PhD from Cambridge – despite the university stating they have no record of him – Katie defended her husband, saying, “He doesn’t have a PhD from Cambridge, it’s one in Spain.”
She added, “I’ve seen everything I need to see. On his diplomatic passport, it’s Dr Lee Andrews. On his normal passport, it’s Wesley Lee Andrews.” The star also said that Lee living in Dubai is in fact convenient for her, as it gives her some much-needed “time for me”.
And clearing up whether or not Lee has met her five children, she continued, “They’ve all met him on FaceTime. But it’s never enough. I won’t be introducing him to the kids yet because I want to get to know him myself.”
As well as claims Lee spent three weeks in a Dubai jail after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend’s signature in a bid to take out a £200,000 loan, two of his exes previously warned Katie about Lee, branding him a conman, with one telling her to “run for the hills”,
His former fiancée, Alana Percival, accused him of being a “liar” and a “narcissist”, adding, “I think he’s a manipulator.” Despite the warnings, Katie was back in Lee’s arms last Wednesday, with the couple heading straight to a cosmetics clinic where they both had his ’n’ hers tweakments.
In an Instagram Story, Lee – who could be seen with numbing cream smeared on his face – revealed they were at the clinic to “fix a few things”, adding, “When I say fix, I mean enhance!” Katie, meanwhile, was shown receiving filler and Botox. “So we’ve had the funny lines killed, but I will look like that one day,” she said as she stretched her face back with her hands.
Katie’s insistence that all is rosy in her new marriage has done little to quash her family’s concerns. And while they might have hoped the situation in Iran, which has seen key buildings in Dubai struck by missiles, would keep Katie away – the opposite seems to be the case. “Her family were hoping that the trouble out there would keep them apart, but now she’s gone and flown out to where everyone is trying to get away from. So it’s very tough for them,” says our source.
“They’re very concerned.” In addition to their fears for Katie’s own safety, our source tells us her loved ones’ other key concern is that she could end up separated from her children for a longer period than anticipated.
“The worry is, if the war continues and she gets caught in the country, she could get stuck there,” says our source. “She won’t see her kids, she won’t see Harvey, and the family will be left to pick up the pieces once again. But she just wants to be with Lee – and nothing else.”
