After Heartbreak, Illness And Two Lost Babies: Warwick Davis’ wife left staggering amount to her Harry Potter star husband in will after d.e.a.t.h aged just 53
Warwick Davis was left a significant financial legacy by his beloved wife Samantha after her death in March 2024, marking another emotional chapter in the actor’s life following decades of shared triumphs and heartbreak.
The Harry Potter and Star Wars star, now 54, inherited more than £500,000 from Samantha, who passed away aged just 53. Legal documents reveal that Samantha’s estate was valued at £536,830, with Warwick named as the sole trustee in her will.
The document, originally signed in 1998, remained unchanged throughout the rest of her life — meaning the ITV presenter became the primary beneficiary following the loss of his lifelong partner.

The couple’s story began decades earlier when they first met on the set of the 1988 Disney fantasy film Willow. Warwick was just 17 at the time, while Samantha was 16. Their teenage romance blossomed quickly, and they married three years later in June 1991.
Together they built a life near Peterborough and welcomed three children: daughter Annabelle, 27, and son Harrison, 21. Tragically, their first baby Lloyd died just nine days after being born in 1991, after inheriting severe complications related to dwarfism from both parents. The couple later lost another son, George, when Samantha miscarried during pregnancy.
Samantha, affectionately known as “Sammy,” had achondroplasia — a bone growth disorder that causes dwarfism. Warwick himself lives with a related condition called spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita. Their shared experiences inspired them to support others facing similar challenges.

In 2012, the couple founded the charity Little People UK to help individuals and families affected by dwarfism. The organisation has since raised hundreds of thousands of pounds and become a vital support network.
Despite facing significant health struggles in later years, Samantha remained determined not to let her condition define her life. Warwick previously revealed that her mobility became impaired after she developed sepsis in 2018, though she remained resolute in maintaining her independence.
Following her death, Warwick paid a heartfelt tribute, remembering his wife not only as his partner but as the person who supported him most throughout his career. He said she was passionate about helping people without judgment and always had time to listen.
He also described Samantha as his most trusted confidante and one of his greatest supporters.

The actor has spoken openly about the devastating moments when Samantha’s health deteriorated, including the terrifying period when she contracted life-threatening sepsis after spinal surgery complications. At the time, Warwick feared he might lose her.
Reflecting on that ordeal, he recalled how the hours waiting beside her hospital bed with their children felt like the longest of his life.
Yet through every tragedy and health battle, Warwick has often said that the experiences ultimately strengthened their bond as a couple — a love story that endured through grief, illness and decades of shared life together.
